Nethros Movement Guide: Wall Hops, Gliders, and Hooks
Climb walls with wall hops
Nethros lets you chain wall hops and upward air dashes to scale vertical surfaces. A successful sequence can be repeated to keep climbing, and there is no fall damage if you miss a landing or drop back down.
- Jump toward a vertical surface.
- The moment your character contacts the wall, press
SpaceandStogether to wall hop backward. - As the wall hop begins, aim the camera upward.
- Press
Spaceagain to air dash upward. - Repeat the wall hop and upward air dash sequence until you reach the height you need.
The timing begins on wall contact. Keep the camera pointed up before the second jump so the air dash carries you vertically instead of away from the wall.
Buy mobility items
Weapon merchants sell two mobility items at almost every location marked with three vertical sword icons. The Glider is the low-cost option for traveling down from high places, while the Mounted Hook, also referred to as a Grappling Hook, is intended to traverse vertical terrain more quickly.
| Item | Cost | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Glider | 500 Yin | Glide smoothly from higher vantage points |
| Mounted Hook / Grappling Hook | 10,000 Yin | Move across vertical terrain faster |
Look for the three vertical sword marker before searching for either item. The Glider and hook are sold through weapon merchants rather than a separate mobility-only vendor.
Choosing between the Glider and hook
Use the Glider when you already have elevation and want a controlled descent. Use wall hopping when a climb is possible without spending Yin. The Mounted Hook is the more expensive purchased option for faster vertical traversal, while wall hopping remains useful for repeatedly climbing a surface.
